About the Role
As a Jr Sous Chef, you will utilise your creative flair and passion for food to ensure high quality food production for hotel outlets and events, which meets our Brand Standards.
You will manage the Kitchen Team under the direction of the Head Chef ensuring quality is produced consistently. You will ensure the team prepare the required food for various culinary operations within the hotel, while ensuring all hygiene, HACCP and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements are consistently met.
What will I be doing?
- Ensure a high level of clear and concise communication is maintained with all other hotel departments, being receptive to other departments operational and accounting requirements.
- Keep Head Chef informed of any issues that may arise.
- Attend and contribute to meetings and briefings as per schedule.
- Respond to and manage departmental change as required by the hotel, Hilton, government legislation or industry trends
- To perform any other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Hotel
- Ensure efficient level of service and prompt delivery of product within your area.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others (team members, contractors, guests, members of the public) at the hotel.
