Joining a high performing crew, you will play a critical role in being responsible for the safe and productive operation of a Sandvik DT422i Jumbo for the purpose of underground development mining. As a frontline operator on the project, you will monitor progress against plan, take corrective action to achieve compliance with shift plans, and eliminate waste and rework.
What we require from you:
- A strong attitude and commitment to workplace health and safety
- Minimum 2 year's experience operating a Jumbo
- Technical capability to operate a Sandvik DT422i jumbo with high accuracy and efficiency
- Experience installing split-sets and MD Bolts with mesh
- Ability to read ground conditions and where required incorporate additional ground support and make decisions on drilling patterns that improve ground profile.

Tomingley Gold Mine, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is located adjacent to the village of Tomingley 50 kms south of Dubbo in Central NSW. The operation consists of both underground and open cut mines and a processing plant on site to produce gold bullion. The current workforce consists of approximately 230 permanent employees in professional, technical, mining, processing and trades roles.
The development of additional open cut and underground mine 3 kms south of the Tomingley deposits has been recently approved. This expansion will extend the mine life until at least 2030.
NB: Tomingley Gold Operations is a residential mine located 50km South of Dubbo in Central West NSW. This role is a residential role and if not living in the local area, relocation will be required. Assistance can be provided.
