The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented and driven Junior Accountant to use their skills to help support our team in the way we deliver finance services to our clients. You’ll be working alongside a dynamic, inclusive and passionate Finance Manager and will have the opportunity to get your hands on good quality, interested and varied work from day one. You won’t be ring-fenced from clients or not given the opportunity to learn and give things a go – we’ll support you in your learning everyday. 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Daily bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assisting with month end journals including accruals, prepayments and any other relevant journals for the preparation of financial reports
• Fixed Asset Register Maintenance
• Preparing and assisting with Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts, including compiling all supporting evidence to portray accurate financial positions
• Collaborating with and supporting internal and external stakeholders by providing financial data and reports
• Completion of Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with statutory lodgements
• Supporting for budgeting and forecasting reports
• Performing ad hoc accounting duties to support the accounts team

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

• Relevant tertiary qualification within accounting/finance
• You will be working towards or commencing towards your CPA/CA certification
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong Excel skills
• A willingness to learn & work in a team environment
• Exceptional client service skills
• A great can-do attitude that is going to contribute to the culture of our business
