Job Description
The Junior Content Producer is responsible for producing high-quality audio, graphics and video content to promote, attract and retain audiences on various social media platforms. Aligned with the digital and content strategy, this role is responsible for closely collaborating with the content team to identify, capture, and repurpose key content, and ensuring it aligns with the RWWA’s brand identity. Further, the role is required to travel to and work at the races, sporting events and other external locations away from the RWWA head office and often with flexible hours.
Qualifications
About You:
- Familiarity with Content Production: While prior experience as a Content Producer is not required, exposure to podcasting, hosting, or social media content creation through coursework, internships, or personal projects is beneficial.
- Software Skills: A foundational understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and basic video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) is preferred. Training will be provided to enhance these skills.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using both MacOS and PC, with an interest in mobile technology, preferably Apple iOS. Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and platforms is essential.
- Understanding of Digital Media Tools: An introductory knowledge of HD camera operation and microphone hardware is advantageous, with opportunities for further development in these areas.
- Knowledge and Passion for Industry Trends: Keen interest in content production trends, social media best practices, and the wagering industry. Eagerness to stay updated and bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Film, Media, Sound Production, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
