OUR TEAM
Our Above Water Systems team provides engineering & maintenance services to Royal Australian Navy vessels and commercial ships. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our defence partners. YOUR ROLE
Located centrally in Woolloomooloo's Garden Island, on Gadigal land your role purpose will be: :
- Supporting the Weapons Systems Manager in protecting Thales’ commercial position throughout the contract life, ensuring contractual obligations are complied with, and identifying and notifying of any potential breaches and disputes related matters.
- Manage contract change process and participate in negotiation activities. Monitoring and reporting on financial performance through ongoing contractual and financial reviews.
- Preparation of all Survey & Quote work, ensuring scope and cost are adequate and in line with contractual requirements.
- Providing support for both internal and external Financial and Contract Status Reviews (CSRs).
- Ensuring the setup of Trident & IPESA & other tools required to deliver on projects as required.
- Support awareness and training of stakeholders in Contract Management principles, and act as an ambassador for a strong Contract Management Culture at all levels of Thales.
- Management of contract performance framework
YOUR EXPERIENCE
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
- Qualification or training in areas of Business, Finance/Accounting, Law, Project Management, Commercial Management or Engineering
- Sound business, commercial and regulatory knowledge and experience.
- Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate in a positive manner with external and internal stakeholders.
- Sound technical writing skills.
- Quality and Workplace, Health & Safety systems knowledge.
- Experience in contracts and business development, including the costing and preparation of tender proposals.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft applications
