Job Summary:
As a Junior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the data infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability, integrity, and security while optimising data processes and systems. Your expertise in the AWS data eco system as well as your strong Python and Databricks will be key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS services.
- Collaborate with senior data engineers and analysts to implement data solutions that support business goals.
- Utilize Python to automate data processing tasks and improve efficiency.
- Work with Databricks to manage and analyse large datasets, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for data engineering.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, RDS).
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Familiarity with Databricks and its ecosystem.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
