This role is recruited for StoneX Financial Pty Ltd, StoneX Group's Australian entity.
Job Purpose
The role of a Dealer contains three main components: managing risk portfolios, dealing with client orders and assisting with the improvement of the client product. This is to be done while acting with the highest ethical and regulatory standards. The candidate will need to quickly become a key member of a 12 man 24-hour team.
It offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the financial markets in a fast paced role, where the candidate will be able to apply analytic skills to assist the desk in PNL maximisation. The winning candidate will have access to all major asset classes before specializing, if no previous specialization is conferred. The role offers the candidate the unique ability to set their own path within the Trading function, depending on skills and competencies demonstrated, along their own preferences.
General Duties

• Trade Execution: Execute CFD trades on behalf of clients, ensuring timely and accurate execution of orders while adhering to trading

regulations and risk management policies.

• Market Analysis: Monitor financial markets, analyse market trends, and provide insights to senior traders and clients regarding potential trading opportunities and risks.
• Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, internal and external, addressing their inquiries, providing market updates, and offering trading advice within regulatory guidelines.
• Risk Management: Assist in monitoring and managing risk exposure by setting and maintaining stop-loss orders, margin requirements, and other risk control measures.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies, and assist in maintaining proper documentation and records.
• Reporting: Prepare daily and periodic reports on trading activities, performance, and market conditions for review by senior management.
• Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes to enhance your knowledge and skills in the field.

Knowledge and Experience

• A minimum two years' experience in a similar dealing role, or role with direct contact with the financial markets.
• Ability to thrive and perform under pressure in an intense environment; multi-tasking is a given.
• Hold the utmost ethics as regards treating customers fairly and honesty.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Desire to maintain up to date knowledge about the financial markets.
• Knowledge of MetaTrader and CFD industry will be highly regarded.
• Shift work necessary, enabling coverage of 6am to 6pm.

Qualification and Skills

• University Level Qualification in relevant subject
• Excel competency, complete computer literacy as systems and process involved are complex
