Foresight Australia is a specialist infrastructure investment manager with over A$3.5 billion of equity funds under management. These funds own infrastructure assets all around the country including airports, water storage, ports and more. In additional, we have several renewables assets across hydro, wind, solar and battery storage. Many development projects are also in progress.
Our vacancy
We have created this new role to support our high functioning and established renewables engineering team. Reporting to our Engineering Manager in Melbourne, this diverse role will have you focusing on 3 main areas:
This role will have 3 focus areas:
- To provide hands on technical support for renewable assets (Hydro, Wind, Solar and Battery)
- To assist with asset reliability and optimisation projects.
- To support regulatory compliance of assets under the guidance of Engineering Manager
Role deliverables
- Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, provide hands on technical support to operational and upcoming renewable assets including troubleshooting
- Participate in testing, installation, and commission of HV/ LV equipment including creation of commissioning plans
- Support asset optimisation and reliability improvement projects
- Conduct data analysis
- Support Electrical Engineering design work
- Assist engineering and operations teams with asset reliability
- Contribute to asset management plans
Perfect candidate profile
- Electrical Engineering degree
- 1-3 years Electrical Engineering experience (this is a Junior Engineer role)
- Experience working with transformers, HV switchgear and working knowledge of protection schemes and protection relays would be highly regarded
- Experience with renewables is preferred but not essential.
- Passion for the renewable energy sector and a positive mindset.
Our highly supportive and collaborative team works flexibility, acknowledging everyone has difference work/life needs. All staff work side by side in the office, supporting and learning from each other on the same 3 days per week. The successful candidate will be required to visit our assets and can expect to travel 1 week per month for a few days.
