About The Position:
Located at any of our global office locations, our Junior Mechatronics Engineer is part of our Product Development team.
The projects you will lead will include costing, development, material selection, design and specification, process analysis, software development for Firmware applications, testing and PPAP documentation. In your role you will lead both the product design and the focuss around integrating electronic and firmware systems for automotive components.
You will work closely with your fellow Engineering team members, CAD designers, toolmakers, production, sales, and QA. The role will also see you liaising directly with our customer & supply base globally, across both OEM and Aftermarket markets.
It would be advantageous if you could demonstrate the following:
- Working within the Automotive OEM or After Market sector for design of vehicle components;
- Embedded Software/Firmware design, development and testing experience;
- Knowledge of automotive accessory development processes;
- Experience designing products or integrating systems to relevant standards and specifications;
- Exposure to managing new products from conception to production;
- Knowledge of TeamCenter would be an advantage; and
- Knowledge of Tool design & GD&T would be an advantage.
About you:
- Tertiary Engineering qualification – Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics;
- Experience in mechatronic, electronic or automation engineering;
- Experience in software/ firmware design, simulation and development (preferably using C/C++);
