The Megan Salmon fashion label is looking for a Junior Fashion Designer to be part of this successful independent fashion company on a full time basis.
The company, based in Fremantle, comprises a small team led by Megan Salmon, producing two large ranges a year with garments being manufactured out of Indonesia (Bali) and Vietnam.
The Junior Fashion Designer, reporting to the Production Manager, is a crucial member of the team in all aspects of the production process from first sample to final dispatch.

4 week annual leave -+ super
Reporting To – Production Manager
Megan Salmon is looking for a Junior Fashion Designer who will be a valuable member of the team on a full time basis. They need to be enthusiastic, adaptable, have good hand skills and good skills in computer programs like adobe(photoshop and illustrator) and Microsoft.(excel)
responsibilities will be varied and include:
· CAD technical drawings in Adobe Illustrator.
· Update Spec sheets and maintain fit of garments from development through to Manufacture Ready (MR) status.
· Supervise fit sessions and ensure changes of pattern are communicated with in house pattern makers and suppliers have updated tech packs.
· Monitor quality control (QC) of garments with knowledge of fabric, construction, grading and fit.
· Update Bill of Materials (BOM) information with trims and fabric yield details.
· Light sewing skills for small amendments or alterations.
· Assist with Business-to-business (B2B) portal by uploading images and general administration during sales period.
· Assist with packing and dispatching as required.
· Oversee sample ranges are packed and sent to agents as per schedule.
