Our consultants are engaged in a variety of cutting-edge projects throughout Australia.About the roleWe are working in partnership with a major Australian telecommunications corporation on an opportunity working across the major platforms. Our client is looking for a collaborative team player to join their team as a Junior Infrastructure Engineer with technical skillset expertise in Linux and Windows servers.Responsibilities/Duties
- Diagnose and restore assurance issues to ensure that networks, infrastructure, products and services work efficiently and reliably
- Undertake and project manage planned activities associated with infrastructure and software maintenance & upgrades, installation projects and customer network projects and drive delivery within given timelines
- Actively share knowledge and experience to help others learn, deliver and improve processes and ways of working.
- Support development and delivery of technical training to improve stakeholder understanding of technology, products, process and procedures
- Provide input into process and technical documentation that describes how technology networks, infrastructure, products and services operate so that there is an accurate and up to date resource to help peers
- Uses sound interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver on short-term customer/team/project priorities.
- Strong computer science skills, including Linux and Windows servers
- Appreciation of IP networking technology
- Appreciation of IT security
- Strong inter-personal skills, resilient and flexible in working with different personalities
- Good self-management skills, able to prioritize tasks and not hesitating in reaching out for guidance when blocked
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
