Junior Mechanical Design/Draftsperson (Graduate)

Engineering company in Pakenham is seeking a full-time Junior Design/Draftsperson. 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for engineering and some hands-on ability.  They will be in the 3rd year of their degree or have finished an Advanced Diploma of Engineering.

Main responsibilities

• Preparing documents for manufacture, assembly and installation.
• Managing project documentation.
• Updating existing drawings.
• Work closely with our project and manufacturing team, suppliers and clients, to ensure projects are completed on time.

Skills required

• Practical experience with SolidWorks with skills in modelling and preparation of drawings.  Experience with AutoCAD is an advantage.
• An ability to communicate well with others.
• High standard of attention to detail.
• High level of mechanical aptitude.
• Able to work well with a team.
• A willingness to learn and apply new skills.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience, with on-the-job training. 

Remuneration will be between $60,000 and $70,000 per annum, plus superannuation.  This is a full-time position with paid overtime.
