Job Description:
As a Production Draftsman, you will play a vital role in the design and construction process, creating detailed technical drawings and plans for custom homes and other building projects. You will work closely with architects, designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure all plans align with project specifications and client expectations. Your work will directly impact on the success of each project, helping us deliver exceptional homes that exceed our clients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and plans based on architectural designs and client requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure all drawings comply with design intent, building codes, and industry standards.
- Review and revise drawings as needed, incorporating feedback from project teams and clients.
- Ensure all drawings are precise, accurate, and completed in a timely manner to support project timelines.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions, ensuring easy access for project teams.
- Assist in identifying potential design challenges and providing solutions to optimize construction processes.
- Work closely with construction teams to address any issues or discrepancies in drawings during the build phase.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on potential improvements for custom home projects.
- Stay current on industry trends, building materials, and drafting techniques to ensure high-quality output.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in drafting, architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other drafting tools.
- Strong understanding of residential construction practices, building codes, and architectural design.
