The position
As the Junior Mechatronics Engineer, you will work across a variety of system applications from industrial to mining, marine and mobile plant equipment. This is an all-encompassing role, where you will liaise with clients, workshop staff, and the engineering team. You will be required to conduct site visits, review work and be actively involved with installation and commissioning. You will also design hydraulics circuits, and calculate fluid and pressure requirements in determining correct product selections.
Duties include:
- Design hydraulic and mechatronic circuits
- Liaise with clients in determining their requirements and outcomes
- Work with in-house engineers and workshop staff
- Source product for small to medium project application
- Prepare full scope of works, MOR’s and IOM’s
- Travel to site to review requirements and be present for commissioning duties
- Have a minimum of 2 plus years of industrial mechatronics experience
- Have an understanding of mechanical fluid power hydraulic applications
- Have the ability to multi-task both in-house and one-site
- Be competent in preparing estimations and costs
- Be able to program and code PLC systems
