Form of workCleared are currently working with Defence & are looking to speak to a NV2 Junior System Administrator based in Canberra for a 12-month contract plus a 1 x 12-month extension option with the successful candidate required to start immediately!
This is a major Defence project & the Wintel Engineer will work on the build and sustainment of an Australian Defence Force capability for hosting a software defined data centre.
Canberra Based Offices must be Onsite.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support across Microsoft platforms, with a focus on SharePoint, Dynamics, and other integrated applications.
- Engage in on-call rotations, offering timely solutions to ensure continuous service delivery.
- Facilitate routine system checks and maintenance, contributing to overall system health and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with senior team members on incident and problem management, gaining valuable insights and skills.
- Assist in the upkeep of system documentation, ensuring procedures and configurations are up[1]to-date.
Position Description:
- A foundational understanding of various Microsoft technologies, eager to broaden your skills within a supportive team environment.
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies, with a keen interest in professional growth.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- A relevant degree or diploma in IT is favoured, but equivalent experience or certifications in Microsoft technologies will also be highly regarded.
- A clear communicator with a customer-centric approach, capable of delivering high-quality support and service.
Desirable:- Experience working within the Defence environment.
- Knowledge and skills in the design, implementation, and configuration of automation and orchestration technologies and services, for example Ansible, Git, Scripting.
Negative Vetting 2 (NV1) is required. Candidates with NV1 would be considered on the condition that they have completed and submitted a security pack (NV1 to NV2 upgrade) to the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) prior to commencement.If you do no not have a AGSVA clearance or know what this is, please do not apply!
