We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our tight knit, in-house creative team on a full-time basis! The in-house team delivers quality creative content across multiple platforms daily. We are uniquely placed in the industry in which we have lots of space for innovation and ideas, and potential to run from concept-to-completion. We encompass the creation of key art, point of sale graphics, packaging, promotions as well as, editing video content for trailers, commercials and social media.

We design all manner of awesome content to support the release of films in Australia and New Zealand. We are a busy internal studio that cultivates all the creative work for Dendy Cinemas and Icon Film Distribution, specialising in campaigns for films releases – both in cinema and at home.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop original creative executions for various cinema focussed campaigns.
- Create a range of marketing materials across print, screen and web from both original design and/or supplied elements.
- Ensure artwork is supplied to a high standard, with keen attention to detail, and utilising the correct technical requirements as briefed. (Knowledge of exporting for print, screen, video etc).
- Manage individual priorities and workflow and communicate this with the Creative Services Manager.
- Maintain and upkeep an ordered filing system for work in progress and for completed jobs in the face of tight turnarounds when they arise.
- Carry out ad-hoc design duties in response to briefs.
- Keep accurate and detailed log of time worked on all projects with productivity tools.
- Stay up to date with technical skills and developments to maintain a high industry standard and expand your creative talents through the work that we offer.
- Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders in a responsive manner and accepts the responsibility for proofing their work against printer’s guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Design/Visual Communications and 1-2 years relevant experience in design agency/studio or in-house roles full time or contract based.
- Understanding of typography, colour theory, layout, file types and best practice for commercial arts. Skills in digital and print design are mandatory. Proficiency working on a Mac and finished art/pre-press production knowledge are also essential.
- Efficient skills in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Premiere Pro. (After Effects, and any illustration skills are highly favoured, but not essential to commence the role).
- Responds well to collaborative and responsive feedback from Creative Services and Stakeholders.
- The ability to thrive under pressure when it arises and be able to communicate effectively and positively with the team.
- A love of film and cinema, and enjoys a social yet collaborative hard-working atmosphere located in the inner-west of Sydney.
- Permanent Australian Residency/Citizenship.
