Junior Or Senior Electrical Switchboard Designer

SM Electrical Manufacturing is a business specialising in the manufacture of Main Switchboards, Distribution Boards and Control Panels. 

Based at Cameron Park, we are seeking a motivated Electrical Switchboard Designer to join our team.

Duties Include:

• Interpreting and analysing consultant drawings, including SLD and specifications.
• Working with Design Manager to provide Workshop drawing sets of Main Switchboards, Distribution Boards, MCC’s and Control Panels.
• Providing General Arrangement, Single Line Diagrams, Control Diagrams and Label Drawings using AutoCAD LT.
• Completing nesting drawings for CNC Router and Epilog Laser.
• Completing As Built drawings at the completion of Projects.
• Assist in maintaining CAD libraries in order provide updated CAD blocks and utilise products fit for purpose within the switchboard design.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experienced and knowledge of electrical standards (AS61439, S3000, NSW Service & Installation Rules)
• Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD LT Software.
• Experience with Modular and Custom Switchboard assemblies.
• Experience and knowledge of supply authority metering.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
• A background in switchboard manufacture and / or sheet metal manufacture would be highly regarded.

Juniors with limited to no switchboard design experience are encouraged to apply.
