REPORTS TO: General Manager
GENERAL PURPOSE: Junior Rugby Participation Manager is responsible for the management of SJRC including the quality and quantity of all participants registered with the Sunnybank Junior Rugby Club.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Rugby Development
- Plan the Junior Participation Program in collaboration with the other Rugby Department staff members
- Develop program curriculum content and experiences that will both assure and improve the quality of all included participants
- Monitor the performance of all registered participants and supervise a system of feedback and review
- Manage a range of community engagement programs that support the growth of Junior Rugby participation at Sunnybank Junior Rugby Union Club
Event Management
Manage the participation experiences of all included participants, including but not limited to:
- Training
- Matches (trials, fixtures, sanctioned matches)
- Educational activities (courses, seminars, workshops etc.)
- Clinics and extension programs
Recruitment & Retention
Supervise the recruitment and retention of registered participants, including:
- Manage a range of databases of all registered participants
- Analyse and review the data for gaps and trends
- Manage a community-based schools’ program to increase participation for recruitment in the local region
Administration
Assist with the administration and management of Sunnybank Junior Rugby Club as required in the areas of;
- Communication (including but not limited to website, social media and newsletters)
- Finance (including but not limited to Xero tasks, the POS system, ordering and stock)
- Availability, cleanliness and maintenance for the overall integrity and security of the facility
- Prepare regular reports that communicate critical issues and recommendations that may assist with future management
External Relationships
- Maintain a network of contacts with local schools, communities and clubs and assist with their rugby needs.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Desirable
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in business, sports management or similar.
- Current Level 2 Coach Accreditation
- Current First Aid & CPR
Essential
- Current Smart Rugby - Rugby Australia
- Current Level 1 Match Official - Rugby Australia
- Blue Card
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Computer literacy with Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe (desirable), file management, competition management systems (Rugby Xplorer) and social media
- Customer service and communication skills and experience
- Current knowledge and familiarity with RA, QRU and BJRU By-laws and policies

WORKING CONDITIONS: The nature of tasks and relationships required will include evening and weekend work.
