Why do we have this role @ Koala
We are looking for a creative and passionate Junior Social creative editor to join the growing social team. In this role, you will live and breathe social content performance across organic & paid ads, learning how to edit creative in order to drive key performance metrics, engage and grow the Koala audience through social media.
As the Junior Social Creative Editor, you will be responsible for editing all UGC and incoming content for social channels which will assist in building out the testing program for creative on key social platforms Instagram, Facebook, YouTube & TikTok etc.
We seek a creative and driven self starter, who’s eager to learn and develop their skills in social media & growth marketing. With an agile approach to pivot direction according to customer insight while ensuring quality, on-brand content is produced with a keen eye for detail, you will consistently test & learn, to develop our content strategy across all key platforms, growing our social community. Requirements
What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?
- Edit all incoming content making it fit for purpose for each of our key platforms using CapCut / Canva or similar video editing tools
- Discover and create engaging hooks for each piece of content, ensuring all content is optimized to capture the maximum views and keep users engaged throughout
- Assist the Senior Growth Manager & Creative Manager to produce content based on the testing framework for incremental content improvements, seeking insights from user interaction across platforms
- Provide insights for content briefs going forward based on hook and engagement requirements
- Occasionally posting content to organic social channels
- Contribute to content brainstorms & strategic development
- This is an entry level position which requires team collaboration and an eagerness to learn.
- 1+ years of social media content creation and video editing experience at a high growth direct-to-consumer brand or early stage startup ideal but not essential
- Experience in creative analysis and optimisation ideal but not essential
- Experience in working in fast paced team environments, contributing to successful outcomes
- Keen eye for detail, with the ability to understand briefs and interpret them into actions, producing high quality output
- Fast paced worker, with the ability to pivot where required and prioritize effectively.
