About the ROLE:
We are seeking a Consultant Document/SOP Writer who will be responsible for creating comprehensive SOP’s across the business to ensure a structured framework for achieving consistent quality, safety, and efficiency in all production processes.
You will create and document a standardised of set of SOP's that meet regulatory requirements, reduce errors, and ensure that our employees are trained to perform tasks consistently and safely.
You will have an ABN to invoice for your services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with internal teams to gain an in-depth understanding of the equipment, machines and processes including technical concepts & features.
- Confer with internal team members, vendors, and stakeholders to establish technical specifications and determine subject material to be developed for publication.
- Produce clear, concise, and accurate SOP’s which are suitable for intended audience.
- Simplify complex information for easy comprehension including the use of graphics/pictures to outline processes.
- Document and track SOP’s in ISO tracking system.
- Assist with the development of clear and consistent messaging in documentation and communications.
- Ensure written documentation maintains consistent definitions, terminology, branding, standardized headings, and quality control of documentation.
- Ensure all documentation is written and communicated in a form that is easily absorbed and executed by all employee levels.
- Implement content change requests and approved content updates.
- Collaborate with intranet administrators to ensure that any message conveyed are consistent with policies.
- Develop and utilize tools such as document and email templates to standardize processes and communicate consistent messaging.
- Support project teams in completing miscellaneous projects of various complexities, and complete ad hoc short-term tasks as required by management.
ABOUT YOU:
- Significant experience in technical/document writing within a comparable manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to articulate technical processes using clear written form and graphic/illustrations skills outlined in a logical manner.
- Knowledge of technical document writing standards.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Time management, planning and organizing skills.
- Ability to adjust to environment and work in an agile fashion.
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity to produce clear and concise SOP’s.
- Be a self-starter that can work independently as well as be part of a team.
- Be resourceful to gather information and ask questions from various staff within the engineering or production team.
- Have great attention to detail and an open mindset towards continuous improvement.
- Possess strong ability to observe a process and document it in a clear and logical manner.
