- Support the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chefs in the day-to-day running of the department
- Ensure an open line of communication between the team, management and guests.
- Mentor and support the Demi's, Commis, Apprentices & Cooks in the team for retention and individual growth.
- Ensure consistency across every meal coming out of the kitchen
- Proven experience as a Chef and relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Knowledge of a variety of high-volume cooking styles
- Strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full working rights to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week working varied shifts, including weekends, public holidays, late nights and early mornings
