The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Junior Structural Draftsperson with local residential experience. Reporting to the Residential Division Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for you to further your career. This role will encompass:
- Drafting residential projects using AutoCAD.
- Completing drafting work in accordance with Australian Standards & Structerre's design philosophy;
- Maintaining and updating job records in the database, including the job status and time required to complete work remaining;
- Liaising with other Draftspersons and/or Engineers in relation to all drawing aspects;
- Identifying and amending details from the Object browser libraries and Standard details systems;
- Learning and utilising new concepts for career development purposes;
- Other duties as directed.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a client-focused individual. This successful applicant will have a 'can do' attitude and an eye for detail in addition to demonstrating the following:
- 1-3 years of drafting residential projects experience using a CAD package such as AutoCAD
- An understanding of the VIC residential construction process, relevant design codes, and the ability to interpret architectural drawings would be advantageous;
- A strong customer focus;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Demonstrated organisational skills;
- Certificate III Drafting Trades or Certificate IV in Structural Design will be.
