Are you a passionate Woodwork teacher looking for a new opportunity? Tradewind is working with an F-9 school in Point Cook in Melbourne's West, to teach year 7-9 Woodwork commencing this Term. This full-time ongoing position starts in Term 2, working within modern facilities. Join an International Baccalaureate school committed to delivering outstanding education to students.Key duties:
- Design and develop a comprehensive woodwork curriculum aligned with educational standards and objectives.
- Plan engaging and effective lessons that cater to students' skill levels and promote hands-on learning in the woodwork shop.
- Provide clear and thorough instruction on woodworking techniques, tools, and safety procedures.
- Demonstrate proper and safe use of woodworking tools and machinery.
- Facilitate the development of woodworking skills, including measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing projects.
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly learning environment, managing student behaviour
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on industry trends, teaching methodologies, and safety standards.
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Must have VIT registration
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching secondary Woodwork
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
- Commencing Term 2, on a full-time, ongoing basis
