The Role
Working closely with one of the two Directors, your role will be to support him and develop your skills within the Estimating function of the business. The role will come with varied duties relating to all things pre-construction and Estimating, and will include:
- Preparation of Design & Construct tenders.
- Measure and price builder’s quantities
- Support and manage the tender process and documentation
- Source Sub-Contractor and Supplier quotes and prices
The Builder
This well managed company were established nearly 10 years ago and have in that time, built projects across the retail, hospitality, apartments, and child care builds. They build anything from $1M - $25M, with most projects in the $5M - $15M range.
They are focused on relationships - most of their work is with repeat clients and organisations, the Directors have all built large scale $100M projects prior to commencing their own business - it's fair to say the Directors of the business have a top pier pedigree.
Are you suitable?
If you feel you are suitable for this Estimator job, then consider if you meet the following experiences to be considered suitable for the role:
- Must have commercial building project experience (vertical projects - similar to those listed above)
- Construction or property related degree
- Have operated as an Estimator OR Contract Administrator (for a commercial builder) for at least 3-5 years
- Excellent ability to interpret plans and specifications
- Keen to grow and develop within an Estimating role.
