Kara Di Dio Speech Pathology is looking for a Key Worker – Early Childhood Teacher to join our team.

This position is part time (15 hours per week) with a possibility to increase hours for the right candidate.
About the practice:
KDSP is a well established allied health clinic in Traralgon, Gippsland. Our team consists of speech pathologists, allied health assistants, Early Childhood Teachers and administration staff. We support children from birth to 18 years.
About the role:
We are seeking an Early Childhood Teacher who is passionate about supporting preschool aged children in both a Key Worker role and as the lead teacher within our neurodivergent affirming preschool program – The Dazzle.
The Dazzle is a small group program that runs on a weekly basis with an Early Childhood Teacher, speech pathologist, allied health assistant and occupational therapist. The program offers children early intervention support in a group setting. The program currently runs two groups for 2.5 hours each from our dedicated playgroup space on a Friday.
As a Key Worker you will:
- Have the opportunity to establish wonderful relationships with families and make a big difference in their lives.
- provide assessment and intervention for children using the Key Worker model and a family-centred approach
- Provide consultation and oversight of programs, to clients, the KDSP team and any other relevant professionals
- Work collaboratively with allied health professionals both within and outside of KDSP clients, families, schools, preschools, and any other necessary professionals to provide holistic therapy programs
- Empower children and their families to assist them to meet their NDIS goals
- Support the family in advocating for their child’s needs.
- Support children and their families in their transition to school.

About you
We are looking for an Early Childhood Teacher that enjoys working within a team environment as well as working 1:1 with families in home, clinic and community settings.
To be eligible to apply for this role, you will need to have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Special Education.
Other Requirements
- Minimum 5 years teaching experience
- Registration with your Teaching Body
- Current VIC Working With Children Check
- Valid National Police Check
- Current Drivers Licence and fully insured vehicle available during business hours
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes and utilise evidence-based practice
- Professional, warm and empathetic approach to clients
- Willingness to learn, grow, and provide excellent services to children within a team environment
- Additional study and/or experience in disability, special education, or allied health are desirable
