About the position
Council's Family Health Support Services Department is looking for a Casual Kitchen Assistant as part of our vibrant Meals on Wheels Team. Meals on Wheels proudly produces fresh hot meals daily for vulnerable residents of the municipality requiring supports to remain independently living at home.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the preparation of low-cost, high-quality meals of a nutritious standard to meet dietary needs in accordance with funding guidelines to eligible residents of Frankston City;
- Maintain a high level of kitchen hygiene in accordance with the funding guidelines and food safety regulations; and
- Assist with packing of meals for each delivery route
About you
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Experience in a high-volume food production kitchen or similar facility;
- Proven ability to work as a team member;
- Ability to assist with the instruction and engagement of volunteers;
- Certificate 1 to 3 Food Handling Certificate; and
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
