Location: Yum Yum World Food restaurant
Supervisor/ Manager: Chef
- Be available at least 1 day at weekends and Public Holidays.
- Must have Australian work right
- Have most recent National Police Certificate
Duties & Responsibilities:
- This role will provide a high quality of service to customers by ensuring a clean kitchen is maintained, various meals are prepared, and quality service is provided.
- Will be to assist our chef in preparing and storing food as well as attending to all cleaning tasks.
- Assisting the chef in all kitchen and cooking duties
- Ensure the Kitchen and storage areas are always clean
- Washing and cleaning utensils and dishes and ensuring appropriate storage
- Handling, sorting, storing, and distributing food items
- Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and cooking, along with assisting with preparing food.
- Ensure to rotate stock on a first in/first out basis
- Sorting and disposing of rubbish and recycling
- Cleaning and setting up of the kitchen area for preparing /all meals
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Other tasks as directed
Skill & Experience:
- Food Handling Experience is desired
- Have at least 24 months of experience as a Kitchen Hand or higher
- Worked in commercial Kitchen environment
- The ability to be flexible, take direction and ability to work as a part of a team
- Understand health and safety procedures
- Excellent customer service and organisational skills
- Hardworking, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a team or independently
Qualifications: .
