Bethanie, Western Australia’s leading not for profit aged
care and retirement living provider, has been warmly welcoming and
caring for seniors for over 65 years. We strive to lead the change

We are currently seeking experienced Kitchen Hands to provide
support to the team at our Bethanie Elanora Aged Care Facility in
Bunbury. Bethanie Elanora in Bunbury is an 81 bed facility located
close to the beach, offering comfortable and happy living as well
as some of the best aged care facilities in the area. We also offer
secure dementia care on site.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience or an
interest in food preparation, and be of a friendly nature, as
interaction with our residents is core to our culture.
We are seeking applicants to form part of our casual pool who
provide relief across both morning and afternoon shifts, as well as
on weekends and public holidays. In this role, you may also be
required to work across the roles of Domestic Assistant / Cleaner
and Laundry Worker where required.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Hand
Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation,
kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
Ensuring required ingredients are available daily
Assisting is preparation, apportioning and serving of
meals
Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and
general surrounds in a clean and safe condition
Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and
cutlery
About You:
Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as a
Kitchen Hand ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar
environment
Have a “can do” attitude and a genuine
compassion for our residents
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Ability to work both independently and as part of a
team
Willingness to uphold the vision, mission and values of The
Bethanie Group
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to get
one
