Royal Fremantle Golf Club, located just 25 minutes from the Perth CBD and 5 minutes from Fremantle, is one of Western Australia’s premier sporting clubs, boasting a championship golf course and outstanding member facilities. Since its formation in 1905, the Club and has hosted numerous State and National Amateur golf events.
The Club's kitchen produces high quality cuisine for our Members & their guests, Corporate golf days, Conferences, and other celebrations, 7 days per week.
We offer a healthy work life balance with mostly day time hours, and occasional evening work as required.
This role will be involved in all areas of the kitchen and will assist the Head Chef and other chefs with their food preparation. The reliable and hard-working successful applicant must meet the following essential criteria:
- Must obtain food safe handling certificate
- Strong food preparation and presentation skills
- Strong customer service values and a passion for quality
- Ability to work with in a team and to work autonomously at times
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent knowledge and practice of food hygiene standards
- Proven experience in food preparation
- Have your own reliable transport;
- Studies in cooking preferable (not essential).
The position is for at least 20 hours per week with more when functions are booked (minimal late nights).
The successful applicant will need to be available to work a rotating seven-day roster, including nights and weekends, and must be eligible to work in Australia.
