Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Casual Kitchen Hand to join our dynamic team. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen area. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the success of a renowned restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Clean, wash, and restock dishes in a timely manner to support kitchen operations.
- Perform general cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Maintain clean workspaces to maximize productivity and ensure safety for all staff members.
- Sanitize dishes and utensils regularly, ensuring adequate supplies are available at all times.
- Follow recipe instructions and assist chefs by washing, cutting, or measuring food items as required.
- Monitor inventory levels during shifts and restock food items promptly to prevent shortages.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and deliveries, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Assist with various kitchen tasks and duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Head Chef or Sous Chef
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
