AddressWe are seeking an enthusiastic reliable Kitchen Hand, Sous Chef to join our friendly kitchen team.
Previous experience is an advantage when applying for this position; however, we are willing to train anyone who has a passion for the food and hospitality industry.
In this position you will be required to:
-Assist our chef in cooking and preparing meals to order.
-Work efficiently and be capable of working under pressure to produce quality standards for service and food.
-Assist chef in all preparations prior to service to ensure an efficient service.
-Waitressing of meals when required.
-Participate in supervision and management of kitchen staff to ensure all staff are working efficiently together.
-Assist chef and owner with menu planning and events.
-Participate in stock control, cleaning and ensure all food and safety obligations are of high standard.
-Be productive and maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Accomodation is limited in our town so you must be willing to commute or find accomodation within the district.
You must be reliable and available to work over a 7-day roster, some split shifts and a permanent roster can be discussed upon your application. Approximately 30+ hours per week is available with the possibility of future permanent employment for the successful applicant.
