About the Role
The Sandstone Point Hotel is seeking experienced Kitchen Stewards to join its already successful team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Ensures that all dishwasher machinery is working efficiently and that all chemicals being used are safely stored and handled
- Responsible for carrying out store room and kitchen inspections to make sure that they are clean and in good order.
- Monitor and manage wastage to prevent theft of foodstuffs as well as the hotel supplies.
- Track training progress of all team members according to the service standards required.
- Keep all food and serving areas clean and dry
- To be fully involved and responsible for monthly stock take and ensure all variances are accounted with explanations.
- Ensure the Daily log book has been completed, date the end of each service period and make relevant notes on the day’s events.
- Leave all work areas clean and tidy at the end of each shift
- Assisting in the team being responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all kitchen and Food & Beverage areas
Skills & Experience
Your skills and experience will include:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Possess a high standard of professional grooming.
- Well presented with exceptional communication skills.
