Join our team as a Kitchenhand Attendant at Melbourne Olympic Park! In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our culinary facilities. From assisting with food preparation to adhering to food safety and hygiene standards to ensure guest safety, you'll contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests and patrons.

The Position? 

  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes 
  • Receive, store, and organise food and supplies in designated storage areas, ensuring proper rotation, labelling, and inventory control 
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and storage areas, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards to ensure guest safety and compliance with health regulations. 
  • Operating a commercial dishwasher to a high standard

The Person

  • Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating familiarity with basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.  
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, take direction from kitchen management, and adapt to changing priorities and tasks. 
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, following food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to create a safe and hygienic kitchen environment for staff and guests
