About the role
Are you a skilled and experienced Laboratory Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to work on ongoing projects based in Cairns region. Look no further! We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team.

Skills & Attributes
• Current driving licence
• Certificate in Laboratory Techniques, or relevant chemistry related science qualification
• At least one year Laboratory Assistant experience
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical hazards or ability to acquire
• Effective time and workload management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
• Basic knowledge of computing, particularly Microsoft products including Word and Excel
• Full Australian working rights

Key Duties
• Prepare solutions/media and glassware
• Enter and process analytical data with the Laboratory Information Management System
• Regular retention and disposal of completed laboratory samples and test solutions
• Ensure quality of results as per NATA requirements, including maintenance and calibration of equipment
• Capable of following general safe practices in accordance with the Workplace Health & Safety Act
