Laboratory Assistant | Senior School

Science Laboratory Assistant | Senior School

This is a part-time (4 days per week), Term-Time position (38 weeks per year) for an immediate start.

The Laboratory Assistant will be an effective member of the Science Support Team who will work together to ensure sufficient and effective operation of the Science Faculty laboratories and management of resources. The Team will provide support to the Head of Faculty, Science Teachers and students to effectively deliver and participate in the Science curriculum offered by the School. 

The Laboratory Assistant will provide operational and administrative support to the Laboratory Technicians and Science Teaching Staff. 

The successful candidate will have:

• Knowledge of WHS procedures in a science workplace and capacity to operate safely.
• Administration skills with understanding of Senior School science curriculum and practical experience in resource control
• Experience in a School Laboratory setting considered advantageous 
• Effective team player who can provide high-level customer service to all stakeholders in the Science Faculty with a commitment to ensure the School’s learning outcomes are achieved
• Current working rights for Australia
