Our client is a leading EHS consultancy with established offices throughout Australia. They are currently looking for an experienced Laboratory Manager or an experienced Senior Technician who is ready to take the next step in their career.
About the Role:
- Day-to-day management of the laboratory including organisation and delegation of field and laboratory work to staff.
- Management of staff, including recruitment, training and development.
- Manage compliance, quality management and continuous improvement.
- Lead a safety culture in the laboratory, actively promoting safe work practices.
- Overseeing the performance of the laboratory in Quality and Safety.
- Maintaining appropriate laboratory supply levels and consumables.
- Assist to ensure compliance to all NATA and ISO accreditation.
- Contribution to the continuous improvement of the laboratory.
- Tertiary Qualification in Science related discipline or relevant laboratory experience
- Previous experience in fibre counting by membrane filter method and asbestos fibre identification by PLM is highly desirable
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Be reliable and self-motivated.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office skills.
