What You Will Be Doing

An ongoing opportunity exists for an experienced mine site Laboratory Operator at Rio Tinto's Gudai Darri mine site. Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be physically testing (crushing, grinding, weighing, sieving) iron ore/base metals, conducting manual preparation using rotary sample dividers and other associated duties within a laboratory environment.

What You Will Need

  • Experience as a Laboratory Operator in a mining environment
  • Software systems knowledge such as Starlims, SAP, FDMS, TIKS, SuperQ and ChemAlert 
  • Technical and analytical experience in flux fusion, Leco TGA, XRF, robotic sampling with Herzog equipment,
  • Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)
  • Curiosity & willingness to learn
  • Physically fit - standing hours at a time
