We are seeking an experienced pharmaceutical- Warehouse Operator casual. This position is responsible for assisting in the receival of raw materials/packaging and dispatch of finished goods in accordance with Wild Child’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Accurately receipt stock (raw material and packaging) and dispatch in accordance with site’s SOP requirements.
- Unloading of sea containers containing raw materials or packaging in a timely manner to support manufacturing/production activities.
- Management of sampling of raw materials and packaging materials, completing the relevant delivery and quality control documentations.
- Inspection of goods upon arrival and escalating issues to Quality Control Department if damages are identified.
- Logging in and escalating returned products/complaint samples to the Quality Control Department.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of stock (raw material and packaging) using the site’s ERP system.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in warehousing areas to ensure safety is maintained whilst preventing cross contamination of materials/finished products.
- Accurate issuing of raw materials and packaging for manufacturing and production when required, all items delivered in a timely manner to prevent delay in manufacturing schedule.
- All manufacturing information (batch documents, logbooks) is recorded in accordance with ALCOA principles (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original and Accurate) in accordance with site procedure.
- Ensure training requirements are met prior to undertaking any warehousing task.
- Ensure warehousing equipment, forklifts are maintained and is in good order.
- Participate and take responsibility for workplace environment and health & safety. Taking part in investigating near misses and injuries related to warehousing activities. Taking part in the implementation of both corrective and preventive actions.
- Be a team player working closely with multiple departments on site (Manufacturing, Production, Quality, Purchasing and Finance).
Working days: Monday to Friday
Working hours: 8am to 6pm (8 hours)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Year 10 high school certificate or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in pharmaceutical or similar industry (warehousing environment).
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Ability to follow written procedures and have basic mathematical skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to getting things done correctly.
- Basic knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) will be an advantage.
- MUST have a valid forklift license.
- MUST have experience in using Reach Truck.
