About the role
The successful candidate will be involved in our laboratory facility and perform routine laboratory investigations, assist in the development and validation of new molecular assays, assist in laboratory services work and manufacturing. This new role will be tasked with the following:
- Plan and conduct experiments and maintaining accurate records of experiments and analyses performed.
- Perform laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations
- Establish and maintain quality standard activities including documentation, calibration and a safe work environment.
- Carry out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyses
- Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced and that everything is clearly and correctly labelled
- Provide scientific support to the rest of the business
Skills and experience
- Understanding of Protein biomarkers, Elisa and spatial biology
- Understand molecular techniques such as qPCR, LAMP,
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong scientific knowledge and good laboratory skills
- Understanding of molecular diagnostics manufacturing highly desired
- Ability to manage ordering and logistical tasks
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated ability and experience in molecular laboratory
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of projects.
- Ability to manage manage ordering and logistical tasks
- University degree qualifications in Life Sciences (Molecular Biology) or equivalent experience.
Beneficial Experience
- Knowledge of quality, regulatory, and safety standards for laboratories and GMP regulations including ISO17025 / ISO13485
- Spatial Biology / Microscopy
- Bioinformatics
