About the role
This role reporting directly into the Process and Metallurgy Superintendent will be responsible for the new set up of the Onslow Iron Ore Laboratory and the onboarding and coaching of Laboratory Technicians. Ensuring a smooth transition from new construction in September to full operations.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques
- Current and valid WA Driver’s licence - C-Class manual
- Proven safety performance in Critical Risk Management
- Demonstrated skills in leading and mentoring technical personnel
- Demonstrated minimum five years in a similar Laboratory environment
- Familiar with sample preparation, fire assay procedures and XRF analysis
- Skills in problem identification and troubleshooting
- Ability to prioritise available resources to achieve targets
- Strong attention to detail and highly motivated
- Ability to work independently with good time management skills
- Continually seeks to improve on current systems and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
