About the role
This role reporting directly to the Technical Services Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating all duties involved in preparation and analysis of routine plant and pit samples including managing the safe and efficient use and maintenance of all associated laboratory equipment, coaching and supervising a team of Lab Technicians to promote a strong safety focused culture improving on current operational process.
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum of Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques
Current and valid WA Driver’s licence - C-Class manual
Proven safety performance in Critical Risk Management
Demonstrated skills in leading and mentoring technical personnel
Demonstrated minimum five years in a similar Laboratory environment
Familiar with sample preparation, fire assay procedures and XRF analysis
Skills in problem identification and troubleshooting
Ability to prioritise available resources to achieve targets
Strong attention to detail and highly motivated
Ability to work independently with good time management skills
Continually seeks to improve on current systems and practices
Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills
