Laboratory Support Officer - Sample Logistics

The Laboratory Support Officer – Sample Logistics (SL) is responsible for supporting the Agilex Biolabs analytical facility whilst performing duties in accordance with the internal quality systems.

Key Responsibilities 

• Receipt of incoming sample shipments into LIMS/ freezer management system.
• Perform query resolution duties including communicating internally and quarantine release.
• Locating and preparing samples into run boxes in support of sample analysis.
• Prepare samples for outgoing shipments and disposals including all required documentation.
• Perform quality control checks with support from trained staff as required.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness.
• Accurate completion of daily records in Monday.com or other systems as implemented at Agilex Biolabs.
• Adhere to OECD GLP regulations, Agilex Biolabs guidelines, WHS policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as applicable.

About you 

• Qualification in Certificate III in Laboratory Skills or equivalent desirable.
• Basic knowledge and experience of scientific procedures and laboratory practices and techniques.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety requirements and procedures
• Effective time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise and take a proactive and flexible approach to tasks.
• Excellent level of written and verbal communication skills.
• MS Office suite.
