About the role
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager and working within the Laboratory team, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our quality testing in the fields of wine chemistry and microbiology.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Perform Routine and Non-Routine analysis on juice and wine including but not limited to Sulphur Dioxide, Alcohol, TA pH, Stability trials, Fining Trials, Sample Collection and Microbiology.
- Data entry, transcription, verification & validation of analysis performed.
- Daily and weekly maintenance and performance checks of laboratory equipment.
- General housekeeping and cleanliness of the laboratory and related areas of responsibility.
- Day and Afternoon shift will be rostered on a rotating basis. Additional hours and night shift will be rostered required during Vintage to meet seasonal demand.
About You
Previous Laboratory Experience is preferable along with a conscious attitude to safety for self and all others.
Have a clear and effective communication style (written and verbal) which gives you the ability to build rapport with your colleagues and peers, other departments and customers.
You will have strong attention to detail, confidence in actioning non-conformances and the initiative to trouble shoot issues as they arise.
Work confidently alone and collaboratively within the team.
Sound Microsoft Office application skills and maintain accurate data records on variety of database platforms.
