About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Technical Assistant to join the Santos team. Based at our Global Headquarters in Adelaide, and reporting to the General Manager Projects, the primary objective of this position is to enhance the performance of the Projects Function and ensure the delivery of the team's objectives. This role will also have responsibility for ensuring that the projects community has access to all relevant information, systems, and SME support.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating team meetings and recording minutes.
- Tracking and updating initiative across the project function group.
- Supporting the Assurance Manager in the administration of assurance reviews and Technical Competency scope.
- Allocation of high-level Assurance findings into Santos Confidential Action Tracker (SCAT).
- Tracking actions from audits and assurance reports.
- Administrating the Projects Community and ODP SharePoint sites.
- Administration for ODP - updating changes to Promapp, document links, support with and triage of queries.
- Key document management including coordinating the update of key Project Management SMS documents.
- Initiation and management of various external expenditures including Purchase Orders and Invoice Management.
- Coordinating the various Communities of Practice activities such as Project Management and Project Controls forums.
- General administration including:
- Team travel
- Calendar management
- Managing team SharePoint / file structures
- Onboarding new team members
- Assist functional leads with improvement initiatives.
About You
Educated to Diploma level, the successful candidate will also possess experience of working in a Project Management environment, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a high attention to detail. You will also be a self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision and will demonstrate the capacity to work effectively under pressure, handle competing priorities, meet deadlines and bring tasks to completion.
Whilst not essential, any familiarity with PowerBI and exposure to major capital projects would be held in high esteem.
