About the role
Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing the highest quality service to clients. Complete work in a timely manner as directed by your supervisor, this includes but is not limited to process, prepare, weigh, digest and analyse mineral and ore samples using a variety techniques, procedures and instrumentation in accordance with documented procedures, GLP & ISO 17025 .
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety procedures are followed in accordance with Site, State and local guidelines
- Provide quality services to our client in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Perform analysis accurately and within turnaround times required
- Perform maintenance and operational functions on the automated equipment as required
- Follow all documented procedures to ensure maintenance of quality accreditation
- Conduct general cleaning and maintenance of the sample station and sampling points
Selection Criteria:
- Previous geochemistry/minerals & environmental laboratory experience desirable
- Laboratory certification highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work within a small team to achieve key objectives
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to develop and implement appropriate procedures
- Computer literacy skills are required
