Sunshine Sugar is an Australian owned sugar milling and refining company operating 3 sugar mills and a refinery in the Northern Rivers of NSW. Identified as one of the largest agricultural and manufacturing sectors in the region, we directly employ over400 people with a further 2500 employed indirectly to support the local industry. We take very seriously our strategic importance and our influence on the Northern Rivers of NSW.
About the role
As a Sunshine Sugar Laboratory Trainee, you will gain entry level training in a range of technical tasks including preparing and testing samples, operating test equipment and instruments, and processing and recording data. You will learn to solve problems using available data, follow procedures and standard methods, develop your technical skills and gain basic scientific knowledge
You will be mentored by one of our qualified and experienced professionals, and will receive guidance to develop your personal workplace skills which will broaden your career opportunities in the future.
Upon completion, you will receive a nationally recognised Certificate III Laboratory Skills. We provide a structured process with workplace based training, supported by theory components through local TAFE.
