AddressSkillset is seeking applications for a Medical Practice Assisting Traineeship to join our client specialising in Medical Services in Bathurst. The successful candidate will complete a Certificate IV in Medical Practice Assisting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful applicant to join an ever-growing team whilst entering into a full time, two-year placement that will provide both on the job experience and study. You will be allocated a dedicated Skillset Workforce Consultant who will support you through your Traineeship and at the successful completion of the role you will graduate with a nationally recognised qualification.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and self-motivated individual who enjoys helping people to start a career in a Medical Practice or nursing field.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing a high level of customer service both face to face and over the phone
- Assisting with general administration including maintaining files, data entry, producing newsletters and providing general support to office staff
- Helping to schedule appointments and manage the diary
- Assisting patients and families who attend the practice
- Assisting the nursing team as required with patient care, patient measurements, performing ECG’s and pathology duties
Qualifications, skills and experience required:
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast paced environment
- Supportive and compassionate
- Eagerness to learn and develop own skills and knowledge
- Committed to the study component of the Traineeship
- Experience in the delivery of quality customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Time management and organisational skills
- Current Drivers Licence
