About the Role: An opportunity exists within a proactive local council team for a Labourer Operations (General Industrial). This role is centered around enhancing the local environment through the maintenance and cleaning of Gross Pollutant Traps (GPT) pits across the region. Utilising vacuum trucks and pressure washers, this role contributes significantly to the community's environmental health and sustainability.
Benefits:
Hourly rate of $32.03 plus superannuation.
Initial 1 month assignment with a potential for extension.
Work location based in Petrie, contributing directly to the local community.
38 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the region-wide cleaning of GPT pits to maintain environmental health standards.
Operate vacuum trucks and pressure washers for cleaning operations.
Participate in confined space entry as required for pit maintenance tasks.
Adhere to all safety and operational protocols, including traffic management and equipment operation.
Engage with the public and team members effectively to facilitate smooth operation.
About You:
Hold a current Medium Rigid (MR) Licence and a Confined Working Space Certificate.
Possess a White Card with demonstrated competency within the last two years.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proven communication skills for effective interaction with the public and team members.
Relevant experience in a similar role or with a skill set conducive to maintenance and construction operations.
Physical fitness to perform manual tasks safely and efficiently.
