AddressEdward Mann are recruiting on behalf of an Automotive business based in Newstead, Queensland. This is a permanent position paying up to 100k + Super, with flexible working hours. You will also be provided with a company car/car allowance and fuel card.
You will be responsible for a range of duties surrounding the dealership accounts, including Financial/Management accounting, financial analysis and tax obligations.
This role is seen as a stepping stone to a Financial Controller position within the next 3-5 years.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the FC with preparation of the monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and Eagers Automotive policy.
- Assist the FC in the management of dealership cash flow and completion of daily bank reconciliations.
- Assist the FC with the day-to-day operations of the Administration Department, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, and in their absence, ensure the efficient control of clerical staff within the Administration Department.
- Resolution of financial queries from management.
- Management of fixed assets, including disposals and additions.
- Preparation of monthly BAS returns.
- Assisting in the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Excellent accounting knowledge and able to work independently.
- Proven experience working with dealerships/automotive industry.
- Capable Excel skills
- Strong understanding of a Dealer Management System.
- Well presented, energetic, with strong communication, written and organisation skills
