About the Role:


As the Land Access Lead you will be responsible for delivering Land Access solutions and supporting the governance and management of all land matters relating to energy development projects. This will consist of freehold land, leases, licences, easements, management rights and access agreements across QLD, NSW, VIC, WA and SA.

You will deliver Land Access solutions and coordination, landowner and stakeholder management, including the data management of land information, and  land contracts administration for projects across the Energy Hubs division. Energy Hubs covers our transition from thermal power generation to renewable energy and battery storage, as well the utilisation of existing land to partner with industry and government to develop Low Carbon Energy Hubs.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist with contract preparation and manage contract administration
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Government, landowners, community stakeholders and other relevant external organisations
  • Land access agreement negotiations for various forms of tenure such as leases, licences, easements  and property acquisition.
  • Coordinate valuation and Land Access services, and support the planning approval processes for projects
  • Maintain the data solutions for the management of land, contract and stakeholder information
  • Utilise the property information  system to ensure that Agreements are registered, available for the project teams and key actions recorded
  • Undertake property research utilising various sources and databases
  • Reporting on Land Access, including management plans and due diligence
  • Ensure adherence to corporate strategic priorities and governance principles
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and reports in relation to Land Access

About You:

You will ideally be an all rounder when it comes to Land Access, with experience communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders, with experience influencing cost effective outcomes and developing process improvements.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in property, land economics, commerce or law
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in property and land administration
  • Knowledge of property transactions / conveyancing, land titles and tenure, surveying, environmental services and property information
  • Knowledge of relevant local, state and federal legislation across property, land and environment
  • An understanding of commercial leasing and land management including regulatory frameworks and statutory compliance frameworks
  • Experience in property database administration, data analysis and report generation
